Why do web standards matter?
Using standard technologies to build our websites is neither cheaper nor more expensive in any way. It is just a strong message that others will be able to build on our work. Not that we enjoy the idea that you will switch to another web creative studio as we definitively like our long term relationship with existing clients, but that we feel more comfortable knowing you with a vehicle that can be powered up anywhere on this planet.
Why they simply work?
Many will promote their own technologies or frameworks, which is fine and has a definite advantage to be super fast to develop since they own the code and the knowledge too. But when it is time to do a technology transfer, things might get a little complicated. Applying standard frameworks to our websites allows a swift takeover whenever necessary, by another service provider or, quite often by grown up companies who can handles in-house development.
The best solutions?
Maybe in most cases, maybe not for specific requirements, not either the most elegant but they have a major advantage. So many of us are using them that the improvements are limitless and the designers and programmers communities are huge and extremely interactive. They provide the great advanrage to deliver workable solutions.
Fresh, new, fast!
Websites designed somewhere else by some unknown teams can stille be maintained but it usually takes more time, efforts and time to guess or decipher how the jigsaw puzzle was built that it usually is to build a fresh, new, faster one. Many proprietary solutions lack extensive documentation and if one thing cannot be truly documented, it is the human creativity.
What do you sign for?
By hiring a company following web design and programming standards, you probably sign one of the most flexible agreements with people who are confident they can deliver, and if necessary pass the relay.

Working with 1969idea has been very rewarding for Sing’theatre. We have needed an agency which understands our requirements and who knows how to translate them into a website. We receive a lot of compliments about the one designed by 1969idea and it has been a very efficient platform to sale our tickets and to communicate on our activities. As for the design of our posters, flyers and other collaterals, I would say the same: a deep understanding, a good listening of our expectations and a big creativity with some astonishing results: Thanks partly to 1969idea, the preview of “A Singaporean in Paris” has been sold out 3 weeks before the show!"
